I have earned badges in inclusive communication, specialized instructor, and autism instructor from ADED, our professional organization. I’ve been an adaptive driving instructor at CMSC for almost 4 years. Prior to that, I worked in the healthcare field as an occupational therapy assistant for 24 years. My background as an OTA has allowed me to use those skills to assist new and seasoned drivers with many diverse needs from various backgrounds. I have an adult daughter who is neuro-divergent and this has truly made me more sensitive to the unique and special needs that our driving students have. I enjoy my career and assisting clients with earning their mobility independence.
